History Befresh Marine

BeFresh Marine was founded in April 2000 by a husband and wife in their home port of Saint Petersburg. Both had held various roles in agency, stevedoring, and trading before launching BeFresh Marine, drawing from their deep-rooted family history in shipping—their father being a notable figure in Russian stevedoring.

Starting with one office in Saint Petersburg, BeFresh Marine quickly expanded to Ust-Luga to offer load port agency services to European coal clients. This growth followed the flow of bulk cargo, leading the company to establish agency offices in multiple countries. Initially operating under different names and brands, the group unified under the BeFresh Marine Group brand in 2018.

We take great pride in the fact that many of our original local partners, who played key roles in the company's early growth, are still with us today. They continue to lead and develop local business units as part of our Senior Partners management team.
